Little bit different, but on your point: if someone offered you Morgan's equally-skilled twin brother Nagrom, you'd snap him up without hesitation and start them together.

Shouldn't denigrate Cardiff....they've come up to the PL only one season behind us. Now I think that we have more potential than them, but their fans may feel the opposite. However, if we don't suit Wanyama, I can't see that Cardiff offers them more (apart from money). Where are these big clubs that are supposed to be interested??

Cortese likes the Sun AND is a friend of Berlusconi? I hope I never have to meet him because I do like what he is doing with the club, I wouldn't want that impression of him ruined for me.

Correction: He's happy to talk to The Sun, and he knows Berlusconi.

Weird. I though the Sun p**sed him off a few years back. So much so that he banned them from St Marys and in retaliation they referred to us as 'South Coast Club' instead of Southampton.

They've obviously sorted their differences massively if he now 'likes' the Sun as people keep saying.

No, all external (i.e. not employed by the club) photographers were banned from St. Mary's and they referred to us as 'South Coast Club' & 'Opposition' etc. until they were allowed back in.

Tried some digging on this. Nothing too fruitful.

They have no idea where the deal is at, been trying to follow it but there's a lot of conflicting reports.

The only thing that was mentioned was that Celtic involved themselves in the negotiations with the agent, offering a contribution towards his fee. Any chance this is why the agent accused Celtic of trying to force Wanyama into a move?

I saw a Celtic fan somewhere claiming the wages we offered weren't much more than what Wanyama's on now. That may be rubbish of course but it's possible Wanyama wants higher wages than we've offered as well as a higher fee for the agent.

Highly doubt that. Would have to think that, if we were offering 12m, we'd also be offering wages at the top end of our pay scale. And I very much doubt that Celtic handed him a contract for more than 30k p/w as a 19 year old playing with a team in the Belgian second division.

What's he on? We are low payers (for the PL) so it's possible, but I can't see Nicola expecting him to move for not much more than he's on now. If he expects 50K/wk, then he'll be out of luck...he's relatively untried at a top level. Celtic are a good club, but (apart from CL) the opposition isn't.

Have an idea why his agent has said that we haven't been in contact for 2 weeks? or is that accurate?

I can't see his wages being a problem, unless he thinks someone like Inter might come and offer him more. Personally I think it's just the agent fee thing.
