If I was Cortese I'd say to Wanyama, "I'll give you a signing on bonus if you sack the twat of a agent".

Does anyone else find the length of this thread amusing given that Wanyama's agent says the deal was dead a week or two before the thread was even started? It really shows how little we know!

Ivan Modia, the guy giving all of these interviews on Wanyama's behalf, is known as "Ivan the Terrible" to Everton fans for the months of torment he gave them with Pienaar. If we can learn anything from that situation, it's not to believe a word that comes out of his mouth.

I meant the deal's dead in relation to the fact the club's transfer activity is all over the backpages of the Sun, a media outlet that Cortese despises. He can hardly be blamed for wanting out of the deal for this reason alone.

Cortese doesn't despise the sun at all, gave them an exclusive interview last year.

It contradicts the other reports that say we're still in talks, including the BBC article posted yesterday and everything Nixon has seemed so confident about. I think there's a very good chance Sky have been misinformed here.

I asked my United supporting mate last week why United weren't in for him ......

..... is it Buttner all over again? At least Wenger let's us have players for a season or two as kids before stealing them; United now seem to use our negotiating and scouting systems

I read that article on an Everton website this morning..... says a lot.

I wouldn't fret too much about Cardiff; Wanyama's way out of their league.

The way it's looking I'm not sure, if they can get an offer accepted from Celtic I wouldn't be surprised if they matched Wanyama's agent's demands and that would probably be enough, seems like they are really pushing to get away from Celtic.
