Well that's a ludicrous thing to say. Would they rather the top teams stayed the top teams with no changes indefinitely s because the mid-table teams aren't allowed to convince a top class player to join them?

Sorry, little old Southampton with ideas above our station... that's how the media see us right? :)

Heard them saying that on Talksport as well. I took it as he's that good he should be playing for a top 4 club rather than a slight on Saints.

Of course, but it's way more fun to get your dander up in the morning and have a big old harrumph.

Especially at a bunch of koobs like talkSPORT.

To shed a bit more light on the Victor Wanyama saga. His agency is a company called Extratime SL who are based in the city of Barcelona, Spain. Founded and owned by South African entrepreneur, Rob Moore, the agency have helped recruit a lot of African players into Europe. Two of their most high profile clients being Benni McCarthy and Steven Pienaar.

One of Extratime SL's chief agents is a chap named Goncal Perez who has worked extensively for Barcelona's media publications such as El Mundo Deportivo and El Periodico de Catalunya. He is a long time acquaintance of Maurichio Pochettino whom he met during his time at Espanyol. This could go a long way in explaining how this deal could possible come about.

That is some top detective work. I like it!

Talksport's sole function is to wind-up football fans, to prompt them to either ring or text in to earn them money, or to create gossip and attention for themselves by spouting off some rubbish that they know will provoke a response.

They are the TROLL of Trolls

Yet people fall for it every single time. Comical.

I'm not hugely excited about this transfer. Granted it's interesting, but do remember that he plays in the SPL all season. It isn't the hardest test of a good player to stand out. I'll go all gooey when he's in a Saints shirt and clearly making the difference in the EPL.

Equally he could play even better playing at a higher standard with better team mates like morgan. He is perfect for the premier league imo.

Yes, this would be the case if he played for, say, St. Mirren. However, having watched him play against some very good sides in the Champions League, in particular him MURDERING BARCA TO DEATH, I think we can get a little excited. Plus with destroyers like him a lot is about his raw tools, his athleticism and strength, which is very clear to see.

Ok TSS, but have you seen him play? I'd be amazed if he wasn't a success in the Premier League

I was fixing an electrical problem on my bike yesterday, and there I was in the garage, multimeter in hand, new regulator/rectifier on the bench, and Hawksbee & Jacobs on the radio. I just needed some rubbish on in the background so that I could concentrate and my tinnitus wouldn't annoy me. Anything properly interesting would have distracted.

Not getting ahead of myself, but he would be a good signing. Allow room for JWP on a loan spell as well.
