That’s moved more quickly than it sounded like earlier today Doubt any of the new ones will start at the weekend. It seems very rare for new signings to be just thrown in without any training sessions Interestingly transfermarkt suggests he can play right back which might mean he could also be an option on the right of the 3-4-3 we’ve started with But I’d like to think the new signings point towards 4-2-3-1 with actual wingers. But there are options there especially if utility players are involved
Was the top assister in the Champ last season (14) so sounds like a good addition. From the stuff I’ve read about him sounds like an old school winger who stays wide and gets crosses in, rather than someone who will cut in and look for shooting opportunities. More crosses, Stills wet dream
TBF House said a medical had been scheduled for Fellows (before we knew it was him) first thing this morning.
Yeah, 14 from Fellows and 11 from Azaz, plus 4 goals from Fellows and 12 from Azaz. That's 41 goals and assists combined - playing for, on paper, inferior teams.
There was another post saying we hoped to get it done by Monday deadline and mentioned 48 hours. I guess those weren’t wrong but I interpreted that as taking more time because it didn’t specify before the game at the weekend
Given our position, that’s 2 top signings if they both happen and if the ghost is as good as people say then I’m happy with that.
Just spoke to a WBA supporting colleague of mine. Said absolutely gutted about Fellows but as he is an academy player, it is pure profit. He hopes they have a big sell on as well as we’re likely to get more money for him than they ever could. Also added that their fans are laughing their bollocks of about Ipswich paying £4 million for the RB Furlong as one of their worst players and he’s 29 years of age.
