Indeed, like swooping, warchest, winning the race to sign... And people complain about players using clichés. They've got nothing on the media.

RK: So what is my warchest?
    LR: Mahogony
    RK: Deal

If we sign Caulker I would want another cb in what with Lovren going.

De Vrij, Van Djik, Fonte, Yoshida/Caulker would be pretty good. <cool>

Aoxomoxoa is of course the Dead's third album, following The Grateful Dead and Anthem if the Sun.

The last line of the chorus of Saint Stephen is:

"Wherever he goes the people all complain"

    which I hope isn't a sign!

Caulker and one of De vrij/Van Dijk would be acceptable I think. Caulker on his own would be very underwhelming.

I have no strong feelings either way on this one.

Hes prone to making mistakes, but he is young, he scores some goals and the potential is there. So i would be okay with it, but a little underwhelmed.

I have no idea how good or bad Caulker is. I guess people really liked to watch Cardiff last season. :D

I only watched several games, two against Saints and maybe a few more (as well as MOTD every saturday/sunday) and I haven't seen much either for or against Caulker.

Redknapp seems to think Caulker is his.

The article about Caulker going to QPR is just repeating what Harry said about a week or so back that he's keen on him and hope he signs. The fact he's still waiting must tell us something and I wouldn't be surprised Caulker is waiting for movement around the Lovren situation. Liverpool may go for Caulker if they can't get Lovren, or we get Caulker is Lovren goes ?

Just to repeat what I said on some other thread when Caulker came up a while ago - I think he's a defensive defender who better suits a deep back line. There are two very different approaches to defending nowadays and we do the other one.

So he's the opposite of David Luiz then?

Anyway, whatever he's done in the past, I'm sure he can adapt to different styles of play.

That's probably what United thought about Chris Smalling. In any case, whether he can adapt or not, we'd be much better off going for players who already can play our way.

Not fussed one way or another about Caulker, he isn't as good as Lovren by any stretch of the imagination and doesn't look as quick as Fonte so may be a liability playing a high defensive line (if thats what we continue to do) but could see him coming into his own against West Hoof, Stoke, Villa etc who simply hoof it from one end of the field to another.
The only reason I would like him is to p*ss Rednapp off
