I'd expect it to be Vlaar and Fonte. Fonte has just been given a new contract and made captain, as well as being fresh off a really good PL season. He won't be chucked aside.

Yah, younger, faster and lots of potential and if i remember correctly the price tags are pretty close to each other.
Yeah, don't get me wrong i like Vlaar. In a word he's solid which is a good thing to have in a defender but when looking at the 2 players its clear that van dijk is more suited to us
- Knows Forster
- Knows and is keen to work with Koeman
- Younger
- While not a speeding bullet he's quicker than Vlaar and (i think) Gardos too
- NT experience and a feasible goal threat from set pieces like ol Ron'
No looks like Ron said it after the live bit finished. Was on our list but now we have Gardos.
Yoshida really isn't THAT bad for a 3rd choice for a lower mid table team like us. Would like to see us either sign a young CB with potential who can replace Jos or use one of the youth (Stephens maybe) as 4th choice and let Jos go
Actually, I'd expect him to be in the first team at the moment. Would be surprised if we threw Gardos in tomorrow.
