Now that’s an interesting view. I had just been thinking the opposite. Last season, though I stopped short of criticising Puel, I rarely got excited by our style of play. There were far too many games when IF we had shots on goal you could count them on one hand. And the body language from manager and players when they walked round the pitch at the end of the Stoke game convinced me there would be changes.
MP2 has at least got me enjoying football again (as opposed to the results). What has frustrated me this season is the lack of effort from VVD (and Bertrand on occasions ), the poor form of Forster and the tendency to drop deeper when we have an arrow lead to hold onto. I can live with the lone striker since most clubs are heading this way and makes little difference if others push forward.
But we all have different opinions and I respect yours - just funny that we were thinking along almost opposite lines!
