Apart from a 30-35m rated striker would need to want to go to Bournemouth. And I think we have seen that as an issue ourselves recently. When we seemed like we had the moment the players didn’t want to come. Now we don’t have the money and the players don’t want to come.

And a 30-35m striker’s wage demands might be rather high for Bournemouth. It’s not quite as simple as set out above.

Nothing is in football. Still think they’re doing very well out of selling Solanke for that much though.

Depends how much he fancies living and playing in Italy, perhaps. If I were advising him, I'd tell him to grab the opportunity with both hands, but not all young men want to live far from home.

He is clearly happy to move there, otherwise they wouldn't be pursuing him to this extent. That doesn't mean he would prefer them to Saints however. I'd say it is pretty likely he ends up at Atlanta but whether that is because he picks them over us or because we cant afford him - we may never find out!

Well sounds like he’s off there then, Koopmeiners deal wouldn’t be complete if Atalanta weren’t confident of getting their man. Koopmeiners going for something like £50m aswell so plenty of money to get close to Celtic asking price for O’Riley
