DiMarzio claiming that he is flying to the UK today after turning down the offer from Milan. Talks due with Southampton & Sunderland?
Free agent. Could be worth a punt as 2 week break coming up after Sunderland game. Give him and club a chance to get fitness levels and training ground preparations? Is he a free agent? Can he join now? Or has to wait for summer?
Will only be offered 5 month deal I'd imagine, but if we really want him I think we'd pay him more than Sunderland?Interesting. You'd think the only reason he's choose Sunderland over us, if this is true, would be wages. (Or Sunderland offering a longer contract - but presumably both of us are only interested in a short term deal until the summer? Why would Sunderland in particular risk having him on their wage bill in the Championship?)

DiMarzio is usually more in the know than the Croydon Advertiser. Plus how much more money can they spend? Lol
Past a medical at Milan the other day.Apparently there would be problems with a work permit - this is from other forums - I have no clue at all myself.
Just got over a fairly hefty injury - so that should suit us - hasn't played for a year - definitely we'll have him.
Will not play in the next three games at least - so I think we should almost certainly sign him.
Having said that, desperate beggars can't be choosers and it's a warm body that can play football....
Hang on. Can someone confirm my counting - I make it that Palace and Sunderland have both used up their full quota of 25 players. We have 23 players registered. https://www.premierleague.com/news/322804
My understanding is that he won't qualify automatically but that his record would make an appeal success likelyApparently there would be problems with a work permit - this is from other forums - I have no clue at all myself.....

Despite passing a medical, Martin Caceres won't be joining Milan. The former Juventus defender didn't reach a financial agreement with the rossoneri, who were offering a salary of around €250k with bonus of €25k for each game played. Caceres will now ponder offers from the Premier League, in fact today he'll travel to club to gauge his options. Southampton, who previously tried to sign Philippe Mexes but wasn't convinced by his phsycal form, appears to be interested and Sunderland could join the race. Caceres' future won't likely take place in Serie A after he turned down Milan's proposal
