Sounding very positive.

Simon Peach says Saints hope to have it done by end of the week. They have 22 mins.

In all seriousness I think this could be agreed tomorrow/announced tuesday.

Feyenoord fans seem perplexed that his fee will be less than Wijnaldum and consensus on the forum im ogling at is gutted to lose him and more so for the reported fee

The transfer market is indeed barking mad if we get Jordy for only £9m? That's a steal, I mean £49m for the over hyped Sterling......baffling ?

De Telegraaf have reported a deal is expected today or tomorrow.

Translated:
The family of Jordy Clasie the move suitcases all ready. The defensive midfielder is confident that on Tuesday he already signed a multiyear contract with the number seven of the English Premier League.

Coach Ronald Koeman, who last week saw his first choice for the position of defensive midfielder (the Polish international Gregorz Krychowiak Seville) was lost, and his former teammate Graziano Pelle he can ask for from this week in Southampton.

With family expansion this summer coming the Orange International can be second child if he would like to give an English passport. For Clasie (24) - and hopefully for his wife - the dream transfer comes just in time established.

So the article claims Krychowiak was our first choice.
No speculation on price here, but £9m is a right result if true

This would be a ruddy good buy for the Saints.....am so surprised A... by the price and B....... that non of the so called bigger clubs have not gone in for him. (Or could that still happen) Nah......they wouldn't do that to us would they......they wouldn't would they?......ummm heard that spurs were interested? Anyone know if there is any truth in this?

Beddy you're normally the voice of reason, that Tottenham line is poor form !

We will be linked forever with Spurs in rumours...I like the idea we won't deal with them. Probably untrue, but nice all the same. I console myself that at least Morgan didn't end up there...that would be intolerable.

I just hope we don't expect too much of Jordy too soon. He isn't an exact replacement for Morgan and he probably won't have anything like the same tackling and interception stats at first. He will do well for us but it will take time to adapt to the Premier League. Anyway, Les, for crying out loud get the deal done!

I simply can't tolerate the thought of losing out to spurs. I've already got over Clyne to Liverpool (you're not that good Nate) but the image of Alderwhatsit (why bother getting his name right now) in that horrible white shirt fills me with bile.
