Agreed, would stink of trying to do 'just enough' for me.
 
The main concern I have is that this guy is obviously a Pellegrino signing, and if we lose on Wednesday then surely the board must be really thinking of making a change at manager. But you have to back the manager while he's here and I'd suggest that this signing shows that we are going to stick with Pellegrino til the end of the season unless we really get cut adrift.

If we really get cut adrift it will probably be too late looking at the fixtures.

There is absolutely no excuse for not spending all of the VVD money available to us in this transfer window, we said he was not for sale at the start of the season , so this is "extra" money not budgeted for, No reason at all that it shouldn't be reinvested into the squad in January.

Infact even though I want him gone I would be absolutely baffled if we sacked him after a defeat to Brighton.
