Numerous reports and media outlets reported that a fee was agreed but the issue was based on the payment in terms of up front/monthly split and over how long. It's like me wanting to buy a car, but the dealer saying you can have it for £10,000 but you have to pay for it all now but I want to pay £5,000 up front and £5,000 over the next few years as with income its easier on my finances... the club is trying to do the same it would seem.
 
And on and on we go, slagging each other off.

Ps - one for the grammar police. I know it started a sentence with a preposition, and this is bad form!

Part of the frustration comes from the up and down nature of the reports. Originally it was almost as done deal due to Ramirez coming out saying he had agreed terms, then the Chairman dismissed it and it looked off, then we reopened talks, then they broke down, then they were back on, then we couldn't agree a fee, then we could agree a fee but payment was an issue, then Bologna needed a loan... and now its apparently over. Talk about toying with peoples emotions!

We are lucky to have the Leibherrs and NC running our club. Cant believe I get shot down for implying we are being careful with the money as bologna obviously want it all now and for some reason we arent paying it all now, so maybe, just maybe its not sat in the bank. I take it people didnt see our balance sheet last year, we didnt have £15 million sat in the bank.

Have you not been keeping up with the news today? The stalling of the deal has NOTHING to do with our finance. As I've said earlier, fee agreed, terms agreed and payment installment plan agreed. Got it? It's the Bologna side of the transfer which is slowing things.
 
Can we just have a 'naughty step' thread where all arguments are taken and quickly ended because the participants of the argument will realise that they look like 'Bellpieces'?
 
Christ almighty. I've just read and caught up on pages 84-90. Quite hard to believe some of the things which come out of Saints' fans mouths. A lot on Twitter, but less so on here, but still.

It's as if the positive reports are totally ignored, i.e. Nixon and Peach who have sources close to Saints.

The player has agreed terms, which he couldn't turn down and said was a major factor in agreeing with us. Why would his agent want that to collapse? His agent wants the deal to go through, as it suits his client so well. His quotes will be to try and force Bologna's hand. Clever work on the agents front, but Cortese is a smart man and it wouldn't surprise me if he instructed the agent to say something like this.

i have been keeping up with thread but to be honest, we have had about 10 conflicting reports from various agents, media and generally people that all seem to have different stories.

Do you remember what happened before the Coventry game last season? Half the people on here were convinced they'd suddenly turn into Barcelona just in time to play us.

Yet why believe the negative ones? Optimism is a great quality to take up as a fan, it's a good supportive technique during games. Oh, and for anyone trusting the agents quotes and sky sports 100%, remember when Paul Hart's agent and sky sports reported that Hart was on the verge of taking over from Pardew?
