it would apear to me that Bologna have given us an ultimatum saying we want this and no less....... and Cortese is just playing the game, letting the clock tick down and at the 11th hour will say, 'still not sold him? well here is our offer' and Bologna needing to seel (which Cortese knows) will accept or at least negotiate. So i do not think it is voer, just that it will drag. it's almost like a staring competition, who is going to blink first? will be Cortese and he will go with bologna's payment structure demands or will it be Bologna and they will go with our payment demands? I know who i have my money on.
I'm sure Cortese must know someone in Italy who will be able to get close, or knows someone who in turn knows someone who will be able to get close to the Bologna side of things. Whether the press saying it is off/stalling are stories which have legs or not, for example. Cortese is a smart man, and I think he knows what it takes to get things sorted.

To summerise - nothing has really changed.
Gaston wants to join us, we've agreed terms and contract with him.
Bolonga want more than we are offering up front.
It's all about who now blinks first. They are hoping for a bigger bid, but I think ours is the best they'll get. It will run until dead line day.
Well that doesn't sound like it's hopeless at all. Why is everyone getting so suicidal today?
Because publications close to Bologna said "talks are now off" and said that the President returned.
However the president said "Some stories never end", and denied it.
It's a waiting game.
