Of course Bologna are going to say it's not happening, they want to appease their fans and put pressure on us to give them more money. But they need to sell him and no-one else is buying. There is only one outcome here.

Considering our net spend on transfers is only 3 million, since the Liebherr family took over, surely we can put a little bit more money on the table and agree a fee....Would be such a shame for this transfer not to happen!!
 
Is there any particular technique to slashing your wrists or do you just go to town until you start feeling a bit woozy?

Also think I'm gonna skip the cliche of doing it in the bath and just go for it in the living room, will create more of a scene. Someone walks in, sees me sprawled out over the sofa, blood all over the upholstery, with 'Gaston' smeared in blood on the wall over the fireplace...

Cortese won't pay anything more than he's happy with and on terms he's happy with to, obviously he's willing to negotiate but he might be stubborn enough to walk away instead of an extra million up front for example, who knows.

The weight of evidence is overwhelmingly in favour of this deal going ahead. You guys can believe what you like, but if you want to change my mind you're going to have to present something more solid than one journalist writing exactly what Bologna would want him to write.
 
For all we know the problem may be the 30% owned elsewhere...not a straightforward deal. We want instalments...face facts, we may not have the money to pay up front, especially if we need a CB as well. No player is worth financial problems.

It isn't. It was reported earlier Penarol agreed to a £1.5m fee for the 30%.
 
Reporter on Penarol says they have today accepted a bid of $1.5m for their 30% stake in Gaston Ramirez.

"# Peñarol: The CD seized authorized the sale to Gaston Ramirez Southampton. If completed sale, Peñarol charged U $ S 1.5 million."

It would be a big shame if we couldn't get this deal done.I mean if we can afford 12m why can't we just pay the extra 3m as well?It's not like we've got much chance of getting a player of his calibre again in this transfer window.

The £3million was "net spend" of Adkins since he took over, not including Lambert etc.. and taking into account Chamberlain money.
