You're saying this now, you made a comment about our spending earlier - I think you need to stop pretending to know so much about the inside workings of the club. You have no idea what our finances are, you have no idea if he "throws a hissy fit" or not. Please, stop believing and exaggerating everything you read on twitter.

No one knows our finances, even if we do have rich owners it's not good to have a net loss. Jamal comes to mind, and also the fact that Cortese sometimes pulls the plug if the news gets to the media. If a fee's been agreed and now they want more up front then I can see why that would anger him.

Cortese has literally never pulled the plug because it hit the media, what kind of idiot would do that?

I can feel my blood pressure rising with how stupid some people are being. I'm going to lay out the situation as it has been reported today so that people can understand:

The problem is that we didn't offer enough. Bologna wanted £12m. We were not aware this included a 30% sell on fee to Penarol. As such Bologna rejected the deal because it would have only been £8.5m considering the sell on fee. As such Bologna want us to adjust our offer to compensate for the sell on fee. The player is NOT messing us around. The deal is NOT being ruined by an interfering third party (like Buttner) and it would NOT be illegal (like Tevez). The player is NOT messing us about. Cortese is NOT having a hissy fit. The only way the deal will fall apart is if we can't find an agreement with Bologna on a fee. Seeing as Bologna only want us to raise our offer by about £3m, this should NOT be difficult.

Now everybody, step back from the Itchen Bridge.

I know.... some of them are beyond stupid....I just read " cortese sometimes pulls out of deals if they hit the media" Christ if that was the case we would have less players than pompey!!! The media is incestuous....everyone knows everyone....word gets round.

I was only joking. Truth is, about fifty third parties have come in staking a claim, Cortese is having a stroke because he can't deal with rumours being in newspapers, Gaston Ramirez thinks Adkins is a prick because of his tan, and Les Reed shagged the Bologna chairman's wife.
