I don't think anyone will pay as much as we are offering now though, unless they have a personal grudge (they read these forums and don't appreciate being called 'nipple head) then I think they'll give in

Still think if we REALLY want him we will get him. Cortese knows what he's doing. Not the first time in the last 7 days it's looked all over.

So, in some of the tweets (I know, not the most reliable), their president has hinted/said the deal with us is off/impossible. But, from others, it is back to the old guarantee sticking point. Who knows.

This deal will not happen. I've said it. Let's hope NC has been busy while we've been distracted by this.
I don't know what to think.......is it finally off or is it again the payment guarantees which are stalling it. Simon Peach seemed convinced the other day that fee, installments and player terms were all done and dusted.
The problem is that Bolgona need all the money up front to buy another player. They need to borrow against our instalments, but we can't/won't provide guarantees.
Again, I'm trying to decide whether more mind games are being played and their president is trying to force Cortese's hand. If true though, as long as no other clubs come in, I'm confident this could be pushed through late on.
Bugger, you'd think there would be a way around this sticking point, as on the surface it doesn't look too complex, but then I know nothing of such workings!
It could be better for us if we have moved on...frees up money to push other deals through. The worse scenario is that we hover until it's too late to spend any money. No point in waiting for NC/NA to say deal is over, because they have no history of giving out the information. Only said Buttner deal was dead when he was about to sign for ManU.
