He worked harder than Lambert (who also worked hard) to stop their defenders playing out, so I don't understand what you mean? He is young, talented, adapted to the Premier league and very mobile; that seems to just about hit our club ethic perfectly.
Spot on FLT. Barry is doing his usual chucking negative comments around and then disappearing for days when results/performances aren't as negative as he predicted. If we lose tomorrow he'll be back on with all his doom and gloom!
Ramirez is an expensive player, but hardly a luxury one. That implies you don't need him. How can it be good thing not to have a talented player? There is no evidence that buying Ramirez stopped us getting defenders...I suspect one or two deals just fell through (which happens, and is why we don't talk in public about them).
