Someone has just said to me he's injured. I can't really find out. Romania is a tough place to get info from it seems...

Steaua head coach Constantin Galca announced that central defender Florin Gardos, 25, has returned to training after 3 months out injured.

Will see what the injury was and this may explain the medical being done before the transfer fee being agreed

So doesn't look like he could play in a weeks time against Liverpool then!

Romanian news reporting that Gigi Becali (owner of Steaua) has reached a financial agreement with Southampton and given the green light.

The move will be completed 'immediately', with Florin to sign his contract soon before both clubs formally announce the deal.

Oh, it also says that Florin Gardos told them he wants to sign for Saints ASAP - so they'll let him go before their UCL play-off game with Ludogorets.

If he's been out for three months, then I'd assume he needs a few weeks to build up fitness that others will have got over pre-season. Hopefully we'll sign another CB so that's not a big deal.
