Yeah always felt like the player wasn’t that fussed about the move. Only way it happens is if the release clause is true and nobody else comes in for him, then it’s a straight decision between staying and joining us. Either way I can’t see it being resolved til like deadline day, unless he moves somewhere else

There have been various conflicting reports throughout this whole saga. The whole it's not happening because Saints can't promise they can get the money to them nonsense that came out a few days back. And now it's suddenly coming out after all this time that oh he's actually not out of contract next year, it's 2029. Sounds like more bollocks to me. I don't see how we would have come this far and not known how long his contract with them actually is and whether there is a release clause or not etc. Likewise this wouldn't have dragged on so long if we didn't know that the player was interested in joining us. Not saying I think it will happen, but it's impossible to know what's actually going on and what's true because there has been so many various conflicted reports and propaganda.

If his deal is until 2029 then it makes no sense for him to commit to us or Krasnodar to sell. He'll probably have a host of clubs lined up for him next summer if he has yet another good season.
