if QPR had sold Caulker to us and Austin to Liverpool I wouldn't have been surprised - but the other way round! 
KUMB is not happy. lol. many of them were still seriously talking about Austin yesterday and today. Some talking as if a loan deal was likely.

A decent player like Austin (when fit) has just the right amount of bastard in him which we've been missing. Like Long he's been a player I've hated being on the opposition over the years. Have to admit when I saw the announcement that we'd signed him, and for £4, my first reaction was 'wow'.

For 4M - a very good deal; if he can stay fit... gives us another attacking option. More importantly, if we decide to let Pelle go in the Summer and Austin does the business in front of (and can stay fit) - we have an excellent goal scorer coming into his prime. Well done Saints.
