Yeah, just saw this. Most interestingly, he talks about Alonso and his love for Liverpool!!

 

I'm happy about this signing after what I have red and heard about the lad, even better now I know he is getting the number four shirt!

Certainly think Allen,Gerrard,Sahin,Lucas is up there with ANYTHING in the prem, very classy!!!!!

 

Will this mean that Gerrard will play just off the front like he did in the 08/09 season? The difference is, we've got better players supporting the lone front-man, which I believe will be Suarez.

 

I've been saying this for the last couple of days. The combination of Gerrard, Sahin, Allen and Lucas certainly rivals Gerrard, Alonso, Mascherano and Sissoko in my eyes but people have to bare in mind that the latter quartet where a lot younger back then and as established as the former quartet are now

Our new No.4, who signed a season-long loan deal with the Reds today, was at the Ataturk Stadium as Rafael Benitez's side came from three goals down to beat AC Milan on penalties in the 2005 Champions League final.
Sahin takes up the story: "I know a lot about Liverpool Football Club - I know it is a very big club with a huge history, with big players and big trophies. When they won the biggest trophy in 2005, I was in the stadium in Istanbul. It was my first taste of Liverpool.
"That year, I won the European U17 Championship with Turkey, so we were invited by the Turkish Football Federation to watch the game.
"We were sitting near to where the Liverpool fans were and it was just a crazy, crazy night. It was then I saw what football and Liverpool Football Club means to the people."
