Does anyone have a Sahin YT compilation video they'd recommend? Y'know the type; terrible drum and bass music in the background, distracting video editing etc.

With him, Cazorla, Ateta and Wilshere as options in MF, I think we're looking strong there. Not sure who's going to protect the back four though . . . .

Shared responsibility with Arteta for the defensive side? I'm not one to rely on stats only, but those Dortmund stats show he was quite involved on the defensive aspect as well. I'm going to admit that I've never seen him play a full game, and these youtube vids only focus on the Hollywood shots.
Yeah he's just as good defensively as Arteta - just not a natural DM. (more of a playmaker) I would still like to add an orthodox DM to our squad though.
Especially in the games against Bayern Munich he showed Schweinsteiger what it means to be a world class player. He made Schweinsteiger look like a little schoolboy. Is Coquelin ready to play in the big games to provide cover for our defence? How will Frimpong return from injury and will he show that he is more footballer than a Twitterfreak?
Like people have already said, our midfield is completely packed out now. How could we play Arteta, Wilshere, Cazorla, Sahin and M'Vila/DM? I'm getting the feeling that we won't. We may end up with something like this: Arteta--Wilshere--Sahin Walcott--Podolski--Cazorla In this system we would have 3 central midfielders who are all defense-minded, but not exclusively DM's. I think that would be adequate. Cazorla would be pushed into the front 3, but will drift infield while Podolski will drift out to the left. This wouldn't give us much of a presence in the box, so against the lesser teams, we may go for a front 3 of: Cazorla--Giroud--Podolski I think the main point is that Wenger doesn't like DM's. He wants midfielders who know how to defend. The more I think about it, the more I agree.
I like that as you have typed your comment so you believe more!! I agree but also think that Diaby will play a lot more this season.
I think Sahin could become a Fabregas type of player for us. A true playmaker. Our MF looks really strong this season. Personally, I'd still like to see us sign a dedicated DM, although Frimpong might make that position his own if he comes back strong.
