He was probably creaming himself after watching the swans on you tube for those 3 mins, he is not going to play for the swans, so the next best thing for Sahin is to play for liverpool a team who would like to be able to play like the swans
Baz i put a video up on here for your fans to enjoy and then you start talking about rodgers, nobody cares down here about rodgers, why should we when we have laudrup
No, he has signed for the only English club to beat Barca in europe on their own ground(twice). As for how hes seen Swansea is his business, but as he never and would never sign for the Swans it means nothing.
That is rodgers biggest problem will they give him the time, if they do he will be a success, Patience is the name of the game here, it can sometimes be monotonous passing amongst the back players, but there is a method to it if your opponents don't have the ball they can not hurt you, that is the principle, but there is also a lot of work to be done when you do not have the ball also,
I think the idea is that we do that, teams try and press us and then we sort of switch the flick and move up a gear and start making incisive passes into spaces which have bene created from the opposition pressing too high up the pitch and leaving gaps. It can be exploited if everyone presses at the same time (ala Barcelona) but if teams start pressing one at a time you can pick them off which is what Swansea excelled at. A lot of Prem teams aren't tactically brilliant at pressing as a team so this is why it was so successful. I'm sure the Swansea fans will correct me if I'm wrong but that what I have noticed from the way they played last year and the start of this year.
Agree it's going to take time. Not because the players aren't capable of quick short passing in and around our own area, but it's getting the confidence to do it and also knowing where you should be when you haven't got the ball to give a player an option. In theory it's simple, man has the ball, give him 2 options... when that man gets the ball, he should then have 2 more options and you play in little triangles picking players off one by one. It's a style that will work. No matter how good/bad players are, if they are given time then it will work. I'm 100% sure that if we give Rodgers 3 or 4 seasons then he will get us playing brilliant football, even if in the short term we become a team which is only fighting for 5th or 6th place.
I think that was obvious, the fact Mourinho and Wenger "don't get on" stifled our efforts. So does Brendan shop at Waitrose too?
He hasn`t signed for Liverpool either, he is on loan whilst he is waiting for a chance to play in Madrid`s first team or at least get on the bench.
Wasn't Mourinho quoted as saying he didn't care where he wen't be it Arsenal, Liverpool or Spurs (not sure if they were interested though)? I think the Alonso chat would have helped persuade him, he obviously has a good relationship and admires him from speaking about him in the video.
Spurs were interested, Sahin rejected them about 4 times apparently. I think Alonso would have been a key factor, along with Mourinho.
I thought we offered to pay more of the wages and we had a £14mil clause to buy him at the end of the season?
He signed a one year loan deal. Liverpool Football Club have today completed the signing of Nuri Sahin on a season-long loan from Real Madrid. please log in to view this image So he signed for the only English club to beat Barca in Europe on their own ground(twice), Y/N?
They'll be upset because they wanted to see RVP forge a good partnership with Rooney. It could still work out quite well for them. If, like they're saying, he'll be out for 4 weeks - could be longer if there's an infection, etc. - RVP will become established in their team. The team will rally together, and work harder, as they've lost a 'star' player. Once he recovers, if the team's done well without him, Rooney will then be the one with something to prove. This could work out well for them, in the long run. Of course...they could just crumble like they did last season.
