The great thing is, that Saha will show the glamourous players (who, so far, have refused to come to us) just what they could achieve playing in our team.
I think Saha is quality if we can keep him fit. He may be the wrong side of 30 but he's clearly still sharp and brings title and trophy winning experience to the side. Especially on a free we really can't argue with Harry signing him, especially after today!
United fan in peace. Saha is a class act, always has been, but he always seems to pick up a semi serious injury. If he didn't have serious injury problems, he would have been apart of United's devastating attacks in history. Imagine a front 3 of Rooney, Saha, and Ronaldo, pretty much unstoppable. Anyways if he can stay fit you'll have a much better chance at the title.
I said when we got Saha,that I remembered Moyes saying that he was the best striker he had managed.If Moyes said that it was good enough for me.More to the point good enough for Harry.
I think the key to his goals were his positioning, he followed Ade and fed of the scraps.

Methinks Defoe will have a battle on his hands to get a 1st team spot if everyone stays fit.

I remember a few years ago when Henry was at his brilliant best, that I thought Saha was the only striker (when fit) who was even close to him. Would have loved Saha at Arsenal. When fit he is one of the best in the league.
Of course, like our own RVP, keeping him fit is the challenge... having watched Adebayor and Saha pair up yesterday its a partnership that will likely stop the goals drying up later in the season when the pressure is on.
Looks pretty good for Spurs at the moment, but still not given up all hope of catching you. 13 games to go, 10 points. The NLD is vital in this regard. If we win and close it to 7 points it could get very interesting in the run in...

JD has no hope of being as good 'allround' as Saha. As Luke will vouch, Saha's game revolves around exceptional movement, and the ability to read whats coming, and being in the right place. The amount of crosses that have fizzed across the 6yd line so far this season is criminal, Ade has often been involved in the build up to these 'lost' crosses and can't be in 2 places at once, so I saw evidence today of it working both ways between Ade and Saha. Saha seems to stick to the basics of 2 up front forward play, one goes short one goes long, one goes near post the other goes far. JD is hopeless at this. This is clearly whats been going on in training this week...long may it continue.

For once the MOTD analysis was quite insightful last night: Shearers explanation of the immediate ccordination between Ade and Saha was well set out. This was evident from the first minute at the game - watching the two of them seamlessly drag the Newcastle back line across the pitch.
You're right that Defoe will never become a 'Saha', but to be fair to him, he looked sharp when he came on yesterday and between the three of them we now have some great options for the remainder of the season.

I just hope Saha can stay fit for a change. Those two are two of the most talented forwards anywhere, and would be a handful for any defence. JD is, by nature, competitive. So he will raise his game, which can only be good for us.
Both Torres and Carroll would have missed the chance Benny scored yesterday. Both would have hit it about 2 yards over the bar.
Glad to see most of us are in no doubt about Saha's talent(s).
I didn't realise he was the wronge side of 30. However he runs about (on the pitch) like he still has at least 2 more seasons in him. So its true what they say, 'some folk age quicker then others' etc., etc., and all that.
It also strites me that IF his previous injuries have sidelined him for long periods of time, he might not have the normal amount of football-ing miles on the clock., and therefore might well hit a purple pitch, especially when playing the Spurs way.
I'm not an expert when predicting goals for us, I,ve lost my shirt on many an occasion,. but I'm going to predict another 10 goals by the end of this season for Sahaaah.

Safe bet IMO Hoddle., What with Donkey Carroline and the other fella going around kicking people, resembling the son of a Mule (ref; the kick on Scott Parker for example), I'd consider the odds on most of Spurs first 11 (including Brad) scoring more then Donkey and the racist Mule.
With a bit of luck Kenny boy can get a bit of his money back in the summer. Fit Carroll up with a nice straw hat, and he can spend the summer earning his money, giving kiddies rides up and down Blackpool beach!

Lets hope the alhpa male donkey on the Blackpool beach picks up an interest., Be interesting to see if he maintains his pony tail afterwards.
