But it’s not your choice because clubs won’t stump up for the alterations on a 1:1 basis which is the best you might get. There’s also no real evidence the atmosphere would be any better. But it won’t happen as the FA will never sanction it.

Yes there is. Just go and stand at a game.

Why would 1:1 be the best we might get? You’ve just plucked that out your arse again.

As opposed you pulling out a bigger figure out of yours.
Priceless <laugh>

We've provided figures from Germany on how you can fit more in than seated areas whereas you just seem to be shouting it won't happen when it clearly is looking more and more likely.

How is an example of ratios from other clubs who are using rail seating projection? <laugh>
This is a classic unwinable arguement. There is a reason it was done away with in the UK, and not in Germany, and there is a reason it will not be brought back in the UK. A "spokesman" for the proposal says standing numbers "might" be restricted to the same numbers as sitting in the same sized area. And there's a reason for that as well. There is no formal proposal that I can find, just an organised but poorly supported document floating around social media in the form of a Petition.
13,000,000 attended matches in the PL, 108,000 signed a petition to return standing. That's not a great number, even allowing that the 13 mill is many of the same people on a week to week basis.
Unless and until the Management of every PL Club gets on board, I can't see how it can happen.
I hated standing up when we had it, you loved it, and apparently 108,000 others did as well.

A lot of us have never had the chance to do so, at least not at the vast majority of stadia. It would be nice to have the option to do so and you can still sit (I’m assuming you attend matches) and Ginge can still spout bollocks on other topics while being fanned with a giant leaf by his ladyboy butlers.

Even if there is a link between old school standing and Hillsborough, which I think it’s fair to say is tenuous, the Hillsborough families have made the effort to witness safe standing for themselves and back it.
