Anyone reading, M1 is sandwiched at Lutterworth. Get off and hit the A5 for a few miles and rejoin further down.
Came down yesterday. Pleased that we were not heading north as the M1 was choccer .Hope all get down safely and it's a great day for City .

I'd imagine so. There's roadworks the other side of the J18 roundabout, people queuing to get in to Northampton. It wouldn't be a problem but as BMW's do, loads of people are trying to jump the queue by going down the right hand lane (for the M1) then not getting let back in to the left lane further down. Didn't know. Might be best to just keep on the M1.
Good luck with your recovery, spent a lot of time there with my wife last year and the staff are fantastic. Having read the travel reports on here, decided to do Stanford via A1 instead of Watford Junction via M1 and leaving now with my granddaughter.
Loads of spaces at Hillingdon Tube station car park . About 25 mins to Wembley on the tube and easy get away.
