Happy New Year fellow not606ers.
I think now we are past the 40 point mark we are officially safe from relegation aren't we? That means the players can relax and start playing good football, and then who knows where we might end up?
But seriously, they reckon to get promoted automatically you need to target 20 points from every 10 games, which means that in theory we need to win the next 6 to have 60 points from 30. Personally I'd be happy with 56, or just not losing any, but there are a few tight games coming up, and the cup matches, so a little strengthening would be appreciated Malky. I'm sure he knows that though.
In the 6 we have Pompey and Blackpool home. Never easy blackpool, see if its another bogey Malky can banish, and between them we have Southampton away, which if we stay where we are at present will be a massive game to win. And as I say squeezed in between we have 2 games against Palace and a small game against some team called West Brom.
so where will we be after the 30th game on the 11 Feb? I think we will be more or less where we are now with a stronger squad and getting ready for a trip to Wembley (and Man Citeh in the 4th round of the FA Cup). But then I'm an optimist. What do others thin our fortunes will ne in the New Year?
By the way, being home from Baku for a few days I'm taking the oportunity to banish a hoodoo of my own so I'm going to the Reading Game tomorrow. Sorry folks!!!!
