Falcao was no pussy, he was about to pull the trigger when JOS grabbed his shirt or shoulder pulling him backwards and WB went round JOS and from his position directly behind the incident the ref thought that the there was a trip by him hence the possible last man red card decision. Remember also that the ref had a lengthy conversation with linesman and 4th official for quite some time so they all got it wrong in your opinion. He's the one who has to write the report so he was probably as honest about the incident as he could be.

The is no conspiracy for or against us, it is just the vagaries of football. The card has been rescinded so no drama left. Just be grateful it was not JOS sent off.

I think he could have stayed on his feet. It was a foul, no doubt, but even Tel acknowlages he went down easy, just the way the game goes these days, it's a shame for the sport. Should be able to play to the whistle and trust the ref to give it if he doesn't go down. But there's no confidence in the system or officials these days which is understandable to an extent. Just find the game in a very sorry state these days.

Don't need to preach about conspiracy's to me fella, I'm one of the people saying there isn't one. Not sure why you think I think that way to be honest. Think you need to read all my post on the matter as i've already echoed virtually everything you've said.

You got any gifs of the foul mate? I can only find the image below. I'd like to think if O'Shea wasn't all over him he'd have stuck it past your keeper but team first, personal glory second, that's the United way (Wickham could learn a lot from that phrase). Falcao did the right thing for me. LVG has done more damage to his confidence than anybody else.

Hooking him after that was pathetic from LVG.

I'd never heard of him until reading Bri's match thread.

Looked at his history and he's had a mixed bag this season, reffed your game vs City at the Etihad on New Year.

Can't seem him getting punished to be honest, the FA have no spine.

Yes mate, hand on the shoulder, no shirt pulling, I think he could have stayed up, easy, it was hardly heavy, he wasn't moving at pace. Like i've said it was a stone wall penalty, and this is barely a side issue, I just draw on it as there so many things in that on incident that makes me hate the game today. Would Rooney have gone down? I remember a time when the lads hunger would not have have allowed himself to go down. Penner no doubt but I think Falcao has only failed himself. Shame.

Looking at it like that, I'd defend Falcao, when he's trying to adjust he's held back and to his credit still tries to get the shot off. The guy has just gone from taking a delicate touch and needs to adjust for power, he's turning with a leg across him and two hands on his shoulders, he's got no chance. The alternative is a weak shot gets saved and the defender avoids a red, no brainer for me.

United fans booed LVG for the decision to hook Falcao after this, that kind of thing could have kick started his confidence again and Van Gaal made a monumental **** up, it's like he wants him to fail now.

Do you know why? He was going to bring Fallani on for him before the goal. When you scored, any manager worth a light would wait 5 or 10 minutes before making the change but he didn't. He went ahead and took him off. A basic even lower league manager adhere to. No wonder you kicked off. It's a basic managers of his age and experience should be doing.

he was so hasty that by that point he'd already shown the red card and was bound by that decision. I assume he was actually checking with his lino whether or not JoS had committed a foul in addition to his view that WB was the miscreant.
That said, I felt it was a game changing piece of skill to take that nothing cross down, turn on a sixpence to be in a shooting position - definite red and lucky it was mistaken ID. We move on.

We couldn't believe it mate, the crowd gave him a big cheer on his way out mind. We clearly want the lad to do well but it seems LVG and Giggs don't share that desire. Rooney got to play the hero again, scoring two goals that Falcao could have taken with ease.

If we finish outside the top 4 then I'll blame LVG for not getting the best out of Falcao and Di Maria, they just don't strike me as players who don't adapt quickly.

Take me as the type of players who flourish playing their natural game. To have so many like that in your squad shows bad recruitment if you want to play a more regimented organised style instead of creatively expressive which is hard to pull off in this league with it being so fast.

I think we've recruited well mate, we've done ok for the past couple of months in terms of points/results as well, just the football is unattractive.

I'm happy with our performance on Saturday, sooner or later we're gonna get an early goal instead of going in at HT 0-0 and it will click from there... we just need to play a team with flapping defenders... hmmmmm where can we find one of them?

Sad reality of the game like you say Bri - I think I have only ever seen one ref play on when a player stayed on his feet afet a professional foul (Wickham) and tried to score - the foul pushed him far too wide and removed the goalscoring opportunity so Phil Down sent the defender off! Most of the time, if a players stays on his feet he gets nothing!

Having watched your GIF Bri - I saw at least 10 fouls worse than that in our game against West Brom - EVERY corner we had there were 3 or 4 almost identical - I agree it's a foul but why is it more of a foul in open play than it is at a corner?

Terry I would love it, LOVE IT, if we beat you.

We wont though, I reckon 3-1 and we'll have a sending off probably Colo.
