i can remember the laughter when it was suggested that the term 'manhole covers' had to be altered to 'access chambers'...quickly followed by the changing of places such as 'manchester' to 'personchester', it sounded like a wind up at the time but since then it was moved onto such as sweets and is growing into street names (how many black-boy or blackyboy roads are there, usually in reference to the blacksmith of the time) so how long before they do actually start wanting place names changed, in fact, i am sure i read that it has already started with one or two small and quite remote villages. while we all should agree that we need equality, surely even the most die-hard anti discrimination people can see how mental it is going...yet to gain a few extra votes the MP's will give them anything.
