Will be interesting if he get's the shout for the cup game away to Man City . Might not be a great thing at his age. Cup games for most clubs are now for fringe players but this is obviously huge for Salford so I'm guessing they will go with what got them to round 3 and I am unsure if he placed in the previous rounds
Hopefully this is the start for him. I'm still hopeful we see him in goal for us in the next 12-18 months.
He only turned 18 just over a week ago. So much time to develop, I hope he isn’t pushed too early here
Aye but conversely there isn't much point to holding a lad back because of age and age alone. It's not like he's 12. Half our first team started as regulars within a year or two of him.
I'd love the lad to stay there beyond this season, if he finally takes the GK shirt for himself for the rest of the season.
Another 90 minutes for Matete at Bolton last night. I think they’ll want to sign him permanently if it’s a low fee, he’s played plenty
TBF - Patto is no great shakes IMO. If some club wants to pay a good about to have an English keeper on their bench in the PL, I would sell. Matty might not be ready yet, who knows though. Might be worth the risk. Moore played canny and got a few clean sheets when he filled in.
Yep, I wouldn’t be too disappointed to see Patto leave. I expected him to develop more than he has. Still time like, relatively young for a GK.
It has to be said, you're spoiled for goalkeepers with good distribution these days, Young is someone we have to take our time with, so if Patto did go, it'd be important to go out and find an interesting replacement who could maybe compliment us further. I
I am impressed with Matty Young , similar to Patto at the same stage, he needs regular games now, if not at Salford then elsewhere, and he could well be pushing for a place here within 2 years .
Bainbridge is starting against Rangers tonight He's started 2 games for them in the SPL, both away to the old firm
