Pierre Ekwah has been playing as the sole number 6 for Saint-Ettiene every game. He dropped a MOTM performance in their last game and has an average fotmob rating of 7.02 for this season. Not bad, I wonder how much his clause is to leave at the end of the loan. Could be one we wish we didn’t do
I'd take him back with open arms if he is settled at number 6. No slight on Neil, would just like to see him rotated further often sometimes.
I think Ekwah probably won't come back. Shame IMO, as on the evidence of this season I'd rather he was coming off the bench and into the team than Browne
I think [hope] Browne is a stop gap he’s not that good However at the moment he’s probably the one used as back up
He's an outrageously good fourth choice central midfielder. If anyone has a better fourth choice central midfielder I cannot think of one. Needs time and patience as all footballers do. He's been in and out of the team to accommodate the other three.
Give me Browne over Ekwah any day of the week. At least Browne isn’t soft as ****e and actually runs.
I agree, Brownes been consistently one of the best midfielders in the league for Preston for a long time now. You cant compare the 2 really, Ekwahs professional career is only just beginning. The experience Browne also gives our squad and young lads like Jobe and Rigg is also another big factor in why he's better to have than Ekwah.
Think French football must suit him, could explain why many of our French league signings haven’t worked out they’re just not cut out physically for this league, but aye give me Browne every day of the week over Ekwah
Triantis subbed at HT in the hibs game, very poor first half from him (the whole hibs team was poor) His touch was poor and his scanning of the field was shocking for a CDM
90 minutes for Matete in a 5-0 defeat away at Stockport Surely their manager (Evatt) is sacked before long?
Matty young saved 2 pens for Salford last night hopefully that’ll help him get more regular games there
Matete came on as a sub as Bolton came from behind to claim a 2-1 home win against Blackpool. He entered the fray after 68 minutes with the score at 1-1, with Bolton getting the winner in stoppage time. Embleton played 68 minutes and put the cross in for Joseph to head the Seasiders in front in the first half.
