I'm not sure if you remember watching Gerrard at 19, but Gerrard was better then than Wilshere is now, that's not to say Wilshere won't continue improving.
Wilshire is nowhere now what Gerrard was at 19. Wilshire is what is known as a ''one trick pony'' He can has one talent, he's a central midfielder, he does what it says on the tin. Gerrard is a jack of all trades and master of many. Gerrard can play multiple positions, Wilshire can play one position. Its pointless comparing the two.
I see Hendo playing right wing, to be honest. I thought, of all our young players, Shelvey (if any) would inherit Stevie's mantle. I see a lot of the young Steve G in Shelvey. Although, it is hard to compare players, as most play in slightly different ways even when in same position. It doesn't help that Gerro is a one-off, either.
