Fergie arrived at United when I was 5 years old and has been there ever since. It really is like hearing a family member is unwell. As everyone else, sending my best wishes on his recovery.

Alex Ferguson is my hero. He is Mr Manchester United and but for him the club wouldn’t be where it is now. He brought unimaginable success and he was the best football manager in the world bar none.

Wish him good luck and pray he will get through. His current fight is one of the toughest imaginable and he deserves to get out of it the winner.

All the reports are he's now sitting up and talking - obviously a good sign.

With a bit of luck he might have forgotten that he retired and he could lead the team out next season. #SAF=Legend

According to a paper: "Sir Alex Ferguson 'is awake and talking to doctors about his results' in intensive care unit after suffering a brain haemorrhage"

I think he may come back after evaluating the team's result as well when he's done with the doctors.

Just seen that Wayne Rooney has been to visit Sir Alex Ferguson.

'His speech is improving and he can nearly string a sentence together,'

    said Fergie.

Fergie has been removed from intensive care and is now continuing his recovery as an inpatient.

    Great news.
