Sad to say
But there today
Even Hughton, off form,
Would have at least
One point back East
Intact, to keep us warm

Can´t any see
The similarity
Between Adams and Gunn,
A novice boss
Given a toss
He can´t turn down, and run

If this goes on
The Board must don
Their fair share of the blame,
His lack of nous
Can´t help or douse
Our house when it´s in flame

And sad to see
If it should be
Like Gunn, a shortish stay,
He deserved more
In our folklore
Both were greats on their day

Not R.I.P
Just yet, but we
Do have a problem here,
If we can´t win
With just 5 mins
To go, and leading there.........

...what must that do
To confidence too
I hardly do dare think,
But there´s no doubt
Some working out
We´ll need, to get in the pink. OTBC

Feel really sorry for him today, but he´ll never have a better chance to prove any doubters wrong, and he still couldn´t see it out - it´s going to be a long old fourteen days! :(

the real test of adams mettle was how he would drag us out of a bad run. he's not able to do it. he had a bit of luck early doors and as soon as that evaporated he's shown very little ability in terms of managerial skills as far as I'm aware, though I did appreciate how positively he spoke at the beginning of the season. I really hope he acknowledges that this job is a step too far for him because if he does, he will gain a lot of respect for doing so, but if this carries on much longer our season will be over. he won't be employed as a manager of any other league club and he shouldn't have been here.

I was certainly very unsure about his appointment at the time Super, and am no less so now. He´s definitely showing a few cracks that don´t seem to be healing, and the most worrying thing for me is that we´ll very soon , if we aren´t already, be back on a losing or at least ´non winning´ streak, which as we know, can be nigh impossible to get out of.

The great unwashed are on fire
The league will go to the wire
Adams goose is part cooked
We look totally fooked
But i heard that God loves a trier.

Hi skald bor, before I make any comment I want to hear what NA has to say. A sad day indeed but not the end of our season. Will have to wait for our board's reaction.

Football can be a dog's life. Rex OK ?

Hi RBF bor, have read NA's remarks. Totally agree with him "Not good enough" I've purposely kept my opinion of NA to myself not wishing to prejudge him. But in view of the collapse of morale when Borough were awarded a penalty and today's disastrous decision to not protect our lead, must raise the question does he have the ability to ensure promotion.

I personally don't think we will achieve promotion, on paper yes but we are lacking the necessary determination to fight back against adversity, we are playing skilful football but forgetting that the art of defending is equally as important as scoring goals.

Against Boro we went down a goal after 4 mins and then applied tremendous pressure to equalise only to have a penalty given against us. From that point we failed to become a team as morale fell and our fight back disintegrated. We became another Birmingham (8-0) !!!

Against Forest, a goal up, 5 mins to go. Tactics should have been more defensive relying on fast breaks, substituting Redmond for either Johnson or Tetley. Forwards prefer to play against attacking defences, space gives them more opportunity to exploit their opponents. A commitment to attack that cost us three points.

I looked at NA's demeanour in his after match interview and thought he looked devoid of what to do to rectify this situation, not that Stuart Pearce looked any happier despite their win.

I feel for NA in his predicament but you can't forget that his purpose is to gain promotion. Looking ahead, should we be successful and gain promotion, how would he fare in the PL if he can't cut the cake in this league ? He is on his own with no-one to offer advice, if I was in his shoes I would say to the board, I've done my best but in the interest of the club you should consider looking for another manager.

Not that I would dispense with his services, NA has still a lot to offer to our club and instead of pitching him headfirst into the job, look to the future and find him a mentor to learn the art of managing our club.

The club must come first.

NORKIE - that is very much, if not completely, how I feel about it too. <ok> - It´s what I´ve been thinking for a while now, he´s too attack-minded for his own good sometimes.

Looking at it from the outside you really must be questioning the board for their sheer incompetence in appointing a rookie manager in the first place! He has had no managerial experience to speak of and yet he was thrust into a relegation battle and then given the task of getting you promoted again. McNally is definitely culpable for this and must take the can if Adams does get the bullet.

Warky, I think you can safely say, we are.
