Are you saying you couldn't have sold the bad ****s for decent money in Jan and bought in cheaper players that would have got you into mid-table or higher?
Summer would have required some rebuilding but at least you would have had a great manager still in place, the way it is now you will still finish mid/upper-mid table and have lost the best manager you have ever had.

I don't think other clubs would be paying top dollar in January especially given our predicament -it would be a buyers market. As for getting replacements in that month it's a tough market for getting bargains; even with replacements this team has still got a struggle on its hands....we're not out of the woods by a long chalk.

Going back to the conversation about staff and managers. To put this in perspective, one of the largest companies in the world sacked its prized asset TWICE due to his behaviour and disruptiveness in the work place. Can you tell which one it was? I'll give you a clue. Apple twice sacked Steve Jobs because he wasn't towing the line. They are still one of the most progressive and influential companies in the world. If they can do it, so can others. It's all about having the balls to do so.
