I think AVB is pretty unsackable as I think Levy will have to go if AVB does.

Villa played well today by all accounts and were pure **** last year so Lambert will be given time.

Liverpool will stick with Rodgers imo as they ain't got the money to sack him also get a name in judging by the lack of spending. (They seem to need to recoup some of the money spent by KD)

If I had the money to bet I'd chance it on Mancini (he seems hell bent on having a public war with his board about transfers) or Dimatteo (excuse spelling). Chelsea have not looked convincing v reading or wigan (they were comfortable v Newcastle admittedly) and if they perform like they did on Friday v Arsenal/United/City etc. I wouldn't put money on him lasting.

But maybe it's just wishful thinking on my part and we'll be after our 11th manager since you've had wenger!

HIAG's Juggernaut careered off the edge of a cliff when we spanked them 5-2 last season <ok>

I can see where you're comig from but he also gave him £80m to spend in the Summer, no sure you'd trust a man with that kind of cash if you didn'ty plan keeping him, you've only got to see what Rodgers is doing at Liverpool to see how quickly a new man can offload his predecessors purchases...

I don't think RDM had much input in who was bought, carlo anchelloti eluded to this when he was the manager, he did not have much say in who was bought, I think he admitted that he had never heard of ramirez when he was bought. RA clearly has people on the board who advise him on who should be bought, I don't think any manager since jose has had much say on who is bought at chelsea.

    I hadn't realised that.
I guess when you have his money you can get away with being a control freak, and when you're getting paid obscene sums that no-one else (bar Utd and City) can afford you just shut the **** up, buy another Ferrari and do what you're told....

    No.

I get why Harry R was sacked ... claiming that the no one knowing if he was going to stay as the spurs manager during the England speculation didnt affect the team and then claiming that the players were unsettled when the club weren't offering him a contract made him unpopular. Doing it on TV during the Euro's while Levy was burying his mother meant he had to be sacked.

In my opinion AVB should not have been chosen but now he has he must be given time. He has ideas about how his team should play and should be given time to implement his ideas.

For the record ... I thought Moyes should have been approached ... he seems very loyal to Everton but think we should have enquired if he was interested. Great man manager and has a good footballing brain imo

I remember every Chelsea fan saying the same thing last year; squad needs an overhaul, strong character needed, we'll support him, he has to have 2/3 years to get things done his way etc etc etc.
I reckon they got to halfway through October then every one of them were on the guys back so the patience they had promised lasted around 2/3 months, I can see something similar happening with Tottenham....

RDM I think is going to be the first to go.

I think Chelsea will be fine and then drop off a cliff. They look so lightweight this year defensively.

Highly doubt it. Adkins has done a great job for them to give up on him. If saints go down, he'll still be manager. Plus Saints fans hate Harry Redknapp as he sent them down then buggered off to their rivals :p. RDM will be first to go as Roman is ruthless and probably already has a shortlist lined up for the job.

Does the mere existence of these threads show there is a moral decay in society, when we take glee in guessing which managers could possibly be made redundant?

Where is your heart for these millionaire managers? It can't be easy getting sacked and then getting millions of pounds in severance. And then at worse, they could end up becoming a pundit and having a cushy job criticizing other managers from a Murdoch owned studio simply because they couldn't hack being a manager. Or become a pundit on BBC Radio Five Live or...*shudders* get a job as a columinist in The Sun.

No man deserves such a fate, so why should we bet on it?

This is based entirely on what I would like and I don't see it happening but Tony Pulis...

I'd love to see Martinez take over and try to get them playing football. He deserves to be at a club that has some fans and he enjoys a challenge.

I love the irony of spurs Managment round about - Jol gets them to fifth 2 years in a row when there was an established top 4 -Sacked
Ramos -****s it up and takes ages to get sacked -
Wobble Chops - Brings them into top 4 2/3 seasons and boom gone
AVB - So to stay in the job he cant get them too high or too low - 8th for the spuds it is.

Maybe the spuds have got a self destruct button when they start achieving. Their usual level is around 6th-8th, with some decent cup runs. But when it looks like they are going to excel, they subconsciously start to **** it up.

As you mention, Jol got them to two 5th place finishes and built a decent team, so they sacked him. Arry, by his own words, was the best thing to ever happen to Spurs. He got them in the CL, so they sacked him. Last season they were all lauding it over being above us for most of the season, then they rolled over after we spanked them 5-2.

Spurs remind me of a fat spotty teenager who suddenly finds himself with a beautiful girl, he just knows it's not going to last, so he subconsciously sabotages it, because he knows his real level is with a chubby minger.
