I think there's a small chance that the protest may have removed the scales from his eyes. This is a man who isnT used to dissent and I truly hope that he may have finally seen sense. I'm not holding my breath though.
I think Liverpool thought the game was won at half time and they eased up. When we got that goal back they were rattled and werent the same side. If it wasnt for a pathetic refereeing performance we may would have been right back in the game. That ref should be made to explain how the **** wrestling and shirt pulling at set pieces arent fouls. We were always going to threaten them at set pieces and if hed done his job wed have been in the game. As it was he didnt have the bottle to do it leaving us with no chance. They may have well have one set of rules for the likes of Liverpool ,Man U , Chelsea etc. Suarez is probably the 3rd best player in the world. I can see him becoming the 1st £100m player this summer. Not that hes worth that much but definately set to become the most expensive player in the world.
I'm sure it'll take £100m, who's got that to spend? I think the scousers keep him if they make CL. His pay rise doesn't start till next season, strange contract to sign if he's leaving.
re _TAN--aint trying to tell you how to suck eggs-- its that these ruthless types are just that--they want instant success/progress and will trample on any that get in the perceived path of that objective-- malky has done what he was hired for--premier league status-- its plain that his popularity irks the ego driven capitalist- - but for me these ventures often turn sour--portsmouth , leeds, spring to mind, bit like faust --you sell your self to the devil--there is a bill to be paid....Malky will be fine-his integrity enhanced and plenty of job prospects--as a fan -feelings will be a lot different , loyalties will be tested, i'm no fan of cash cow corporate 'soccer' --so am happy to keep it real...
