I don't think that's what Rio was implying, haven't you ABUs got enough ammunition, without having to jump to ridiculous assumptions about a general comment on Twitter?
we are probably very similar in terms of the duration we have been United supporters. Yep. we have seen some mediocre United sides in the past, which some of our younger friends on this board have never experienced. When I started attending OT matches regularly as a youngster, we had not so long ago been promoted back to Division 1 after being relegated. The title was a distant dream never mind the absolute feast which Fergie provided. If someone had said to me in the early 90s that fergie was going to have United dominating the league with the most number of titles in the next 20 years and that the scousers will be so eclipsed that they would not even have one single title in that period, I would have laughed in their face and told them they must be absolutely deluded. This is just to provide some context. This situation is bad because people are comparing it to SAF and to United being dominant in the permiership. there is no divine right for United to win the title or get into top 4 if the team is playing ****. Yes, there is no doubt about it. There is some dreadful play together with massive nervousness. You could argue that United and Moyes had terrible poor luck with some v.poor defending and GK fumbling (against Fulham, Cardiff, WBA, Sunderland, Swansea). But you have make your own luck and guard against the unexpected. That is why Fergie was the master. That match yesterday would have been 3-1 before any errors could have lost United 2 points. Moyes and his teams will have to learn to go for that extra goal because they cannot defend a 1 goal lead if their f**king lives depended on it. We may well see Moyes sacked. I personally would prefer to give him some time. Because if he does get sacked, I can see a very unsettled period with many managers coming and going after a few months. And we certainly do not want that. I have accepted that United will not get into Europe this season. And the prick who came to wum recently saying that United fans should celebrate achieving 40 points as relegation was no longer an issue was closer to the truth than he thought.
