He may have been on the park, but he hardly played. Crapped out of most tackles & was lethargy personified. Very little contribution to our season. Surprised we got money for him.
Bridcutt - Awful player, terrible when it came to passing a ball anything but sideways, I was truly happy to see the back of him. If still at the club I'd pick Phillips and O'Kane every day of the week ahead of him. We already had Phillips and O'Kane so your statement should read lost Bridcutt, Murphy, Diacouraga and gained Saiz, Alioski, Cibicki and Klich. I'd say that's stronger and better. Bartley, we never lost him he was never our player and he returned along with Barrow and Grimes, just one loan that finally worked inbetween many that never. Green, well he had an outstanding season but was pushing the years, I always thought we needed better, Lonergran is decent, I'm okay with him between the sticks but I'd have Green ahead of him if honest. Wood - This is our main problem, even if he wasn't scoring he attracted defenders, he was a nuisance at set pieces, Lasogga scored yesterday but he isn't ever going to be anything above a below average championship striker. I honestly believe this seasons squad is slightly stronger, I think several of the foreign players will get better next season. I don't believe last seasons squad with Monk in charge would be better off this season. We haven't got it right yet, we are a couple of key positions short but as a club with Rads in charge we are in a better position than we have ever been in the last 13-14 years Monk had an awful start, we suddenly clicked and got a bit of form when O'Kane joined, no player was great but all small cogs making it click. Monk then started to lose it and we threw away a play off place after a terrible run of form. We could be just one or two key players short of everything falling into place, I'm starting to wonder about Thomas and Orta but I wouldn't hit the panic button just yet.
I was nodding in agreement with you when reading this - than I looked up the stats for the Championship. Lasogga (this season), played 9(0), scored 5 (0 pens) = 55% Wood (last season), played 41(3)*, scored 22, (5 pens), depending if you count pens or not, it's 50% or 61% I included sub appearances for Wood as he actually scored in one of them. Not quite what I expected, but that's stats for you!
I'd expect that to change (for the worse) as the season goes on. 10 yards out, ball arriving at feet, I'd expect Lasogga to wipe the floor with Wood but this is the Championship and those kind of chances are few and far between so to stand redundant for 85 minutes of the 90 isn't much use..
So Lasogga scored more than Wood in Germany then! Apples & oranges, TC. Disny count - and you know it fine!

It's our team Radz [/QUOTE] Think he was referring to the Management team he's put together for 'the project'. I do hate the term 'project' being applied to us, though, but do understand 'the project' covers more than the team.
