It's gonna be mid table if we stay as we are. Problem is that strikers like Rhodes and any decent player will be looking at the prospects in January. Shall in stay as a bench warmer for a PL team or play for a mid-table struggling championship team? AN should go now IMO. We need something different to get us up and out of the league. Also need a manager that can attract players.
Warky mate you really have no room to talk, you've been languishing in this Godforsaken division for nearly a quarter of a century. Just because you and yours are content watching this gobshite football year in, year out doesn't mean we are. That ****ing witch and her cronies (Mick Dennis you reading this?), are destroying our great club and it breaks my heart !
Last week we competed for and won the majority of loose/second balls in midfield, that made the difference. This week it was back to normal, standing watching while the opposition out fought us! It's not fcking rocket science is it? John Ruddy....WTF was he doing? Howson no show show, he's turning into Redmond! Alex Neil...get the fcku out of my club!
Really can't decide if it's AN to blame or the individual/collective issues amongst the players. My only thought was if you are in a position to have to get goals being 2-0 down why do you take off a player (Pritchard) who is likely create chances?. Olsson on, Josh Murphy off, move Brady to take his place, leave Pritchard on? At least Oliveria is getting some goals which is the only good news from this game.
It's 15 years but I get your point! We are not fooking happy watching the crap football being served up and all the lame excuses but the big difference is that you are supposed to be one of the favourites for automatic promotion!
Myriad people on this board were calling for the same line-up again so we could blow away Barnsley like we did Brentford. AN went with that, except that Naismith wasn't available so he brought Josh in. To me, many of our players seem to think they're above the Championship because they've played in the PL. Some on this board also seem to feel that with comments like 'It's only Barnsley' and 'Away games are no different in this league'. Away games are never easy, but that doesn't explain the poor performance of players like Howson, Brady and Dorrans. Pritchard is new to the starting line-up of late, so I can understand his lack of performance today, but I don't know of anybody on here who didn't want him to start. For me, the problem lies in the players and that showed after they got a rocket at half-time and came out fighting. We dominated the second half but couldn't overcome the two goals we gave away in the first half. To me, the half-time substitutions (Josh and Pritchard off and Mulumbu and Olsson on) made sense and that showed as we came out fighting and got the goal. AN is the manager, but the players have to stand up and take responsibility as well. Changing the manager isn't the answer, IMO.
Paddy Davitt's (rather sad) '5 things we learned' column. At least there is a tiny pot of gold (Oliveira) among the wreckage of yet another calamitous defeat to sift through http://www.pinkun.com/norwich-city/...4812280?utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=dlvr.it
And would he even have been playing had Jerome not been injured???? AN REALLY hasn't got a clue!!! Excellent post Rick and I would only say that I think AN got the starting lineup wrong (as he has done on several occasions), so I would like him to go. I do agree however that once the referee starts the game, then it is up to the players to perform to get the result and in so many games, our players HAVEN'T been performing.
Compounded by the fact that Howson walked on water after his display last week. Yesterday, the same player in ostensibly the same role was slow, ponderous and wasteful. Not sure how you legislate for that?
So did the players stand up and get counted last week against Brentford? HE can't get them playing consistently week on week. He didn't pick the wrong team, he picked the wrong game plan/tactics!
