Agree col they should go for it, stokes only knows one way to play & that is attack, the two in now & next 3 in are all attack minded.

It really didn't.
He played it as if it had, but he keeps being caught in his crease to a ball that nips back a tad. It was hitting 3 or 4 inches below the top of middle!! Maybe he thought it would get higher from the length of the delivery, but it really wasn't that short. His technique has been badly exposed.

England may as well go for it tomorrow. Series in the bag, Root in and Stokes to come. Highly unlikely, but may as well give it the long handle!

Hales could reasonably have expected that ball to clear the stumps, but it just didn't bounce. Hard to see him keeping his place now, though.

It would be good to see England go for it tomorrow. Get to lunch with no more than one wicket gone and you never know - nothing to lose!

Come out all guns blazing, make their intentions clear, that's the way to make the bowlers nervy. Might be all out before lunch, but hey ho.

So much for going for it, I was going to watch it live after lunch but blown away in just over an hour, disappointing.

Just got in from work. I'm going to spend the day on the sofa to watch a classic day of gritty test cricket.

Let's be honest this result means nothing...when it mattered our boys should the proteas who was boss man!

Actually Facto have to disagree with you, 2-0 or 3-0 is so much better than on paper a close 2-1 series win.....Also England have now lost 7 of the last 8 series matches....suggests they either switch off or lack the fibre to keep the foot on the throat the same way as the Aussies do......

Still mustn't take a way from a very good series win containing 2 comprehensive wins when it mattered.....
