Wonder if those who said they would never come back as long as SD is still there, would still stick to that even if he's just sitting in the background with 15%?
We've had a local businessman, a Quinn consortium, an American and a Southern insurance salesman ... ... but some people are upset we have an ambitious billionaire
In the case of lads I know it was while he running the show now he’s hopefully been put in a cupboard next to his m8 and the hoover I’m sure they’ll be returning
I honestly couldn't care less about Donald and Methven still having a stake, I think from our perspective from this point on it'll be like they don't exist. I don't blame Donald for clinging on either, how many times in life do you get a chance to own a club like Sunderland. You wouldn't give it up easily.
Madness mate. ‘He’s no experience of running a club’. His dad ran Marseille. Now I’m not belittling us but I think we all know that’s a lot more challenging. Far higher expectation, less income, the ever present threat of being murdered if the mad bastards aren’t satisfied with your work. I think the lad will get some pointers. A billionaire in League One and folk are still looking for a pin for the balloon. Couldn’t make it up mate.
Good stuff mate, I hope most others come to that conclusion....as long as hes lost majority control should be excuse enough for most to get back and support the lads
I would forget about the 1664 and go for the 2020! Now that was something that would **** your spelling!
@Smug in Boots - Your contact was via Furhmann wasn't it? (or one of the other FFP fellas?). Where does this news leave them? (Sorry if answered already. Not seen it anywhere)
I lived in the south of France, for many years, and went to Nice, Monaco, Cannes, Toulouse and Marseille. Marseille is more intense than Sunderland which I hate to admit. The training ground has guards with automatic weapons ffs.
I’m my opinion when we can all go back I think the record league 1 attendance will be broke big style
There's been no adverse info mate. As things currently stand the loan hasn't been repaid and FPP retain an interest.
We must ensure we hire a manager who will not only get us out of this league, but have the skills to take us out of the championship and into the premier and also rebuild a once well run club, from top to bottom.
Ive been to Marseille for a game and it was ****ing wild mate. Was a nowt game against Guingamp, there were flares, constant drums and noise, ****ers were berating the referee even for throw ins, talk about a melting pot it was wild (and fantastic). The city is half stunning and half terrifying, I think they can handle Wearside Tell you as well, a lot of that Southern French wealth (as you’ll know better than anyone) is linked. There’ll be plenty who know how to max the clubs potential lurking in the shadows.
I've already had ticket enquiries from lads asking about the first away match ... ...wherever it is, it will be totally sold out and loud.
