Its been merged into the main takeover thread on there, so it'll be on the last two or three pages (not sure if we're allowed to link to SMB on here). Bit sceptical because I've previously heard (months back) that Methven was very keen for Donald to sell, whereas his post suggests that Donald and Methven have scuppered it, so my initial thought would be that it isn't true, but worth adding it here just for the discussion!
If the takeover doesn't go through (and I accept its far too early to think that's the case) and we don't go up, I imagine it's going to get very unpleasant once fans are allowed back
They have nowhere to go and are losing money, would be grade 1 idiots to bust the chance to sell the club in the current climate...would be madness to try and ruffle feathers now for more cash...
Cant see how that would be the case. How can you quantify 15% of profit from promotion? Be it 15% of any profits in 21-22 I can see it but trying to get that wrote into any deal would surely be virtually impossible as any potential new buyer could just spend any profit on players/stadium upgrades etc.
Just about to get ready to go into Mogán, thought I’d pop in here and RTG first. If this is true like, I will need the date of the next DD payment, I will watch games up till then and 24 hours before I will be cancelling. Nothing other than those ****ers not being here, not even rumours is going to stop me this time. I won’t fall for it again
A fair point! Plus there's almost zero chance that we'd be profitable in the championship. I'm sure I've heard it's only about £8m extra you get up there (including higher ticket sales / sponsorship etc). Given the wage rises the current squad will undoubtedly have, plus the numerous signings we'd need to make to be competitive, we'd likely lose just as much there as we do here.
That's always been my fear - that twat has such an ego with a penchant for power and money that he'll hang on to some part of the club just for ego boost and the extra cash it'll bring him. I hope this whatever it is sees the back of him and into the hands of someone who's been there and done that
