TBf we've been relegated from the prem the same amount of times as them. Only Norwich can go one better with 5 to their name but I fully expect West Brom to equal that this season.
Yes but they've done a much better job at doing it "sustainably" - seemingly never further down than play off zone championship.
Mate,in my view, you took my post out of context and misrepresented it. I'm not arguing with you about it any more. Yes,there were a handful of successes during those miserable years,,,,you mention most of them,....probably added up to about 20 games, not a very good return when we must have played over 300.
They've certainly been ran better than us off the field imo so agree with that. Having seen us paying over the odds in wages and fees for average players while in the prem I'd have no bother on us taking a different route and buy young with potential, play attacking football and just take everything else on the chin. Promotions, relegations, whatever. At the very least it's creating some sort of identity and culture rather than a mish mash of overpaid mercs who give more of a **** about their wages than the club.
Dont get me wrong. I'd rather we be in the Premier League at this moment. But getting humped every other in the Premier has its own anguish, disappointment and despair. Being out of the Premier League means anybody can beat anybody. Its nice to have that winning feeling more regularly on a Saturday afternoon, doesnt matter that its against Rochdale or Accrington. Both positions have their own positives and negatives to a supporters frame of mind. Swings and roundabouts really. End of the day, as long as the team keeps plodding on, so will the support.
The reaction of the Mags, to the failed takeover, says it all ... ... without billionaires it's all doom, gloom and funeral marches.
Fair enough mate, if we ever get back to the premier league, you better get a season ticket at Accrington.
Again... I said there was no takeover 2 months ago when everyone was getting giddy... there has to be a takeover as SD can’t hang around as no one wants him and he can’t afford us. Simply asking if any ITK’s have heard anything from the club
"From what I’ve been told it’s no closer to being done than it was last Dec/Jan. Niall Quinn’s Dad, Sunday
The reply will be something like, "All you're doing is taking the words and phrases I've posted and using them to prove a point!"
Just had a butchers over there and he’s still waffling about how mean people were to him. I hope one day he can get over the trauma of posting on here, he’s not alone. We had to read it ffs
