See that's what irritates me a bit with him. That sounds fairly positive, 2-3 weeks, but he starts it by saying he's heard no news! So if he's heard no news where's he getting 2-3 weeks from, is that just his opinion? God knows!

 

I originally thought that like...bit of a contradiction....hes obvs heard something by updating his timeline.....he didn't want to talk about it though which was obvious

 

Indeed - he's either guessing and should make it clear that he's guessing, or he's heard stuff off the record that he can't repeat but is leading him to believe these are the timescales.

It just feels a bit naive of him to say anything at all unless he has an update.

 

He could easily be saying he's heard no new news and is just updating what he'd previously been told.

Just a thought.

That's what I mean though, it's so unclear! If he's still basing it on what he's heard weeks ago and it's just his opinion that it's a bit of a Covid delay then that's canny old news now really given how quickly things can change, so I'd be worried that things might have hit a more substantial snag that he's unaware of. If, however, he's actually heard recently that it's fine, just likely to be a bit of a delay because of the recent rise in cases etc then that's massively more optimistic. Just wish he'd spend a bit longer on his updates whether on the radio or on social media and put a bit more detail on them. He just sounds like someone who wishes he'd said nowt and now feels like he has to occasionally say something!

It's unclear and not fully expanded upon because the information is hardly dripping out now. I am hoping that is a good thing and it's all quiet to tie up ends and not because it's went south. My information is still ongoing but that's it. Nothing about meetings or specifics. Hoping that it's the same as Barnes and it's for a good reason and not a bad one.

A more nuanced position would be easier to take , and would benefit him and us in the long run. He really should be able to see that.

His name is Russell Norman and his restaurant 'empire' is Polpo

His names up there with Jamie Oliver, Ramsey etc.....Reading some articles he talks about getting meat from Jackie Whites market

 

Wasn't it said a couple of weeks ago that nothing would be coming out until after transfer window closes.

 

Same here mate, I've had no new info apart from the message I was sent on Sunday 'still grinding along'.

 

To be fair things have went tight lipped mind, I usually get a message nearly every week, with an update, or a ‘nothings changed’ I think it’s been about 2 weeks now

 

One of these days it will all come out of the blue imo, hopefully we will all be celebrating something class

That’s what i think will happen personally, from the last bit of info I got, I suspected I wouldn’t of heard much after
