Smug got into a heavy drinking session with his billionaire bosses, said some things he shouldn’t have and is now in hiding from the Russian mafia who have a contract out. Further talks about the takeover may happen this week.
Ah but did he say anything he shouldn't have? You had to decipher most of what he was posting anyway he was that pissed
There will be meetings this week followed by meetings the week after and so on and so on. Its never ending like its basically the Brexit of takeovers Over a year this has gone on for now ffs
That’s the top and bottom of it. My gut feeling is nothing is imminent and things will roll on for a bit yet.I think everyone’s probs wants it to happen but like any big negotiation like this it’s not going to be thrashed out over a pint and a curry.
Its gone on that long now most of the excitement has gone out of it for me. If it happens my main emotion will be relief
They're missing a trick there then cause there's no better way to sign a deal than with a beer and curry.
At the moment we are in the third division and can be bought for a song..imho If we ever rise through the leagues we could be sold for more, but to get us promoted will cost a lot, so probably not a lot of profit there to he had. My guess is the 20/30/40 £m that the current owner wants, i doubt would be a sticking point for a billionaire purchaser. So either Donald is not selling or those wishing to purchase us are not very rich...?
Just because they are billionaires does not mean they should pay £10m more than they may feel the club is worth. Or offer ‘sell on bonuses’ whereby the current owner (who has failed) gets extra money when the new owners get us promotion etc. For potential, £37m is not a lot. However, to make sizeable profit on that £37m we need to be in the top flight, which will take a lot of money to do because of the current state we are in.
Pretty much, I just don’t particularly agree with the last couple of bits about the price Donald wants being a sticking point and suggesting that if they don’t pay it then they’re maybes not that rich. These are very, very successful businessmen were talking about here (Fuhrman and co). They don’t get to those levels of success and wealth by blindly paying over the odds for things they want. They’ll have a price they think it’s worth. Donald clearly has his. Who blinks 1st?
