Will have to agree to disagree, I recall it being the fans who wanted them shifted. Not all fans, but a vocal enough minority. Edit, I'm not in any way suggesting it's our own fault. There was very little bother when they were in the South stand other than the mags and that was outside in the sheepfold area. There were also no pyros being hoyed about so nobody could predict what is happening now would have happened.
There was very little bother where they were 'cos we could retaliate, whereas now we can't so they can do what the **** they want without any fear whatsoever of us 'getting to them' . . . . cowardly bastards ! It was obvious that this sort of thing could, and probably would, happen with some scum fans, and definitely has (every time) with Coventry & Portsmouth fans. I'm not blaming what you said, mind, this is just general for those that the hat fits
I wouldn't disagree with that mate, and I thought it was a better atmosphere with them in the South and the banter between them and the SWC tbh. It all got a bit 'the empty seats look bad on TV' from what I remember I dont think they will be moved back down though.
Short commented to Quinn along lines of why do our fans get put up out the way in som many groumds yet we give away fans a prominent position & they chance to encourage their team better due to being pitch side
Just been into town and drove back past it 10mins ago. Queue was back to the led notice board. People on twitter saying they still haven't received season ticket.
Might be a daft suggestion but why cant we reopen the merchandise stores in Washington, Sunderland centre, Durham etc & sell merchandise and matchday tickets. Surely wouldnt be that difficult to arrange and would more than likely self funded from sales. We dont need a massive store in each town so no big outlay on rent & labour.
Its not a daft suggestion at all, it makes complete sense but it would cost money so Davison won't do it. They aren't looking at any other retail outlets other than the club shop. I posted earlier that the old superdry store slap bang in the middle of the bridges is sitting there empty but they won't do anything. The bloke is useless
I do think a large ish store is not the way to go, the one in The Galleries was always empty and that wasnt very big. A smaller store with the ability to sell tickets would surely work. As everyone is finding out online & having to drag your arse down to the stadium just isnt working. Lets be honest some of the merchandise is ****e. Stick to home & away shirts and full kits for the kids. Nobody wants a jumper or cardigan these days
There isn't even anything like self service kiosk that you see in the cinemas theses days. Surely it's the same concept just on a bigger arena. Why couldn't a few of them be dotted around in some of the larger shops around town and all be linked up to the ticketing website. The larger store would be great for getting players in for autographs and other stuff to generate a bit extra footfall.
How embarrassing, I’ll pm you my address for you to send them to, I will dispose of them for you Cheers.
The modern world now, for those who struggle, I do not see why you cant go to a shop / post office to buy a ticket, fair doos it wont be the ticket they print at the ticket office but they could then offer a print service for those who cant use phone for ticket.....im no tech person but surely that doesnt take massively sorting out, let the shop take 50p of the ticket sale or whatever. everyone is not geared for the modern workd making it difficult to buy tickets is fxcking stupidity commercially.....its just as well the clubs looking up / forward & were not a steady L1 side as under the 2 chances....or they would really be pushing it...enough of a chore the last few seasons simply to go SAFC needs to sort this now while we have the positive feel & its easy to get people back....absolute madness currently
