Yes he did. And he chose his words carefully in a set piece interview. He could have rephrased those words or withdrew them. He left them in. This was a very serious charge, and any businessman would ordinarily defend themselves from it. Not a word from the chancers, and it could only possibly have been them KLD was speaking about.
What really gets to me with those 2 is the fact they claim they bought the club for £40m, when in reality they only paid £15m for it as they used the clubs own money to pay the other £25m back to Short to cover the remainder of the debt. If they were up front and told everyone they’d pay £15m and then tried to flip the club for £20-25m after getting thing back on track, rather the £40m+ they’re after, then most people would probably accept this.
I'd be delighted if KLD said he wanted to get us established in the PL, sell us on for big bucks and go off to run Marseille.
Exactly, everyone said the same when the chancers took over, get promoted, they make a profit and everyone would be happy. They said they couldn’t fund a return to the PL so no one really expected them to. Claiming they’d bought a debt free club for £40m was simply conning the fans and it’s been downhill for them since the truth came out.

Think it's just speculation based on speculation mate. The Echo is a source I believe! But change seems on its way in some form, and being released from the two chancers, and their drag anchor effect on the club, will be a day of sunshine for everyone. They have been truly horrendous, self serving, incompetent and deceitful.

I love/hate this sketch. Even though I fully appreciate it's a joke, (and even that within the joke, all the arguments are consensual,) it still pisses me off to my core each time they openly lie to him.
No mate, what he said was the club for years has been asset stripped in relation to the last 10 years inc their ownership mind. but also Ellis Shorts.
KLD made the 3 Amigos an offer to buy their shares in Nov/Dec when it looked like we might miss the top 2 auto spot. however 5 weeks ago, just before the playoffs he retracted his offer to 2/3rds of his 1st offer, it is documented in director conversations.
Your right, but Ellis stated the people around him let him down, we know who they were. Once again i am not defending the Amigos but the blame needs spreading around a bit, in the search of the truth. Also, this is a far better forum than SMB/RTG, off line now im afraid.
