I am at Knebworth Saturday with my biggest lad. I will buy you a pint to say thanks for all the good news if you spot me. I will be the belting out slide away, shouldnt be that many of us
The update from roker report was that they've heard the new owners may be willing to sell some shares to a supporters group.
Euuuuurrrrrgh As revealed on a Roker Rapport Podcast news update which dropped earlier his morning, it’s believed that the incoming group have some interesting plans, and they’re expected to offer up some of their shares in the club to supporters using crypto-trading - something that would potentially make Sunderland AFC the first large club to have significant scale fan ownership. As and when more details are reported we’ll be sure to bring you it, so keep your eyes peeled over the coming days and months. Fingers crossed that this is a huge step forward for the club and that it will give us the opportunity to grow even further in the Championship next season, and beyond - with all roads leading back, eventually, to the top flight.
He's well named, cos he's absolute vermin. There were feisty debates on the footy part of rtg, but this ****er even started attacking posters on the cricket part of the forum. The absolute epitome of a cowardly keyboard warrior.
Yep they implied he’d eventually know what’s good for him and sign. Then they panicked. Arrogant and stupid
I didn't have a problem with Maja going, never liked his attitude. But we needed a L1 style CF to come in, not a half hearted mercenary.
I have been watching but I am buying 2 season tickets this year - first time since the last year at Roker I have had a season ticket. My two daughters have got involved hook line and sinker but one works away so only 2. Just for the record nothing to do with SD/CM leaving and I am happy to admit that when I heard them speak at a charity/hospice event at SOL when they first arrived I thought they had the club's interests at heart. How times have changed
I was gutted but I agree that it would have been mitigated by having a decent player lined up. They had no plan
i honestly believe they did but of course that also meant they had their own interests ahead of that...they figured (my own thoughts here not based on anything) the club had the players and the structure in place to bounce straight back up, this would of course increase the value of the club so they could sell at profit, had they managed to do just that then i would not have begrudged them a bit profit. the truth is they had zero plans or cash to support the club should promotion not come along in the first season and that is when things went wrong for them, especially when they owned up to the fact they could just about keep the club going in div 3 but did not have the finances to support the club in championship, this obviously sent alarm bells ringing right through our support and rightly so...the grigg saga will go down in history as SD's worst ever moment.
I said at the time it would've been much easier/cheaper/effective if they'd paid Maja more to finish the season and promised him an easy release at the end. He might've also benefited by attracting a better club than the one he left for.
