These type of people will say anything to defer judgement and responsibility. Journey, Philosophy, Plan, Project, Vision, Common Goal etc....I have no idea how Rotheram and Wigan have managed to even put a team out without thinking about that sewage all day.

I doubt there is evidence either way tbh. Mind, " final say" if that's what has been said, is different to a full say, in that he might be presented with a player and its a yes or no, but neither were his choices. Maybe we'll not find out. But the fact that Speakman openly said that looking for a manager need not be on his mind on deadline day tells you the sway this bloke has. Again, he has found good players, but they team is pitifully out of balance and over young and inexperienced. It was bound to dip, and now it's a slump. This bloke is a problem.
